A little later than planned and this will probably be one of the shortest dev updates I'll do. Soz.
Hello, nice to meet you. firm handshakes
Honestly, as much as I appreciate GDPR as an end user, from every other angle it's a pain in the ass. We've spent an entire week alone just rolling out system changes to make sure we're compliant, as well as updating various policies across multiple sites. Let's just say it's a love hate relationship.
Ooooo. Flightsim Expo. We're going!!! I am leaving for Vegas (via Chicago initially cause I have business to attend to) on Monday, so if you want to come and see us and partake in spicy memes, we'd really love that. June 9th & 10th. Flamingo Las Vegas. Be there. Pls.
GDPR, GDPR and you've guessed it... G D P R. sigh. We're finally compliant, just in time, however only to the bare minimum (which is completely fine, but we like to go the extra mile).
We're implementing a self-service style checkout for exporting all of the data that projectFLY has associated with you.
We're adding a way to import your data from other VA's... because guess what? They're now legally obliged to let you export your data in a readable format. GDPR/projectFLY 1 - 0 VA's.
We'll be adding the ability to opt in to marketing emails (idk why we're doing this, because we don't actually send them but apparently you gotta do what GDPR says you gotta do).
Beyond the above, we've been working on, and continue to work on "pain points" within the app and any overall quality of life improvements.
At this time, although development has begun, we're keeping anything Simstall related close to home until we're all in agreement that we've got enough to share.
The A380 continues to be a part time development whilst we focus on projectFLY & Simstall. Keep an eye on future dev updates for any changes regarding this.
That concludes dev update #3 - If you have any questions/suggestions or would like to get in touch, we're available on all social media, using the comment section below or you can email [email protected]
